An ode to Holy Cow!

I went to Geneva last week and aside from it being a top quality city, there is one thing that it has that London does not. That thing is (apart from DOUBLE DECKER trains like what r those) an humble but golden burger resteraunt going by the name Holy Cow! Gourmet Burger Company

"What is Holy Cow?" you ask. I will explain. Known for its prime Cow Meat I was at first sceptical of Holy C since I tend to stick to vegetarian food when I eat out. However, my life was changed in a matter of minutes by The Veggie. One of the three Vegetarian Burgers on the menu, The Veggie is the most simple, with a wholesome pattie, rocket, lettuce and some unidentified sauces (I think one was apple chutney????). This unassuming mixture of leaves and vegetables had the perfect balance of wet and dry, sweet and sour, salty and refreshing; a rare thing in a burger.

To the carnivores among you- do not leave yet! Apparently the meat is good. But I can give you a first hand review of a surprise medal-winner: the chips. Or fries, whatever. Fried but not oily, these chunks of fluffy, yellow potato were better than your average 'fried potato'. Dippable in ketchup/mayonnaise/mustard(?)... the only regret of my life so far is not being able to eat them all, having just devoured the burger.

The only memento of Holy Cow that I have (to prove that this heaven actually exists) is the ice tea bottle. Not your mediocre Lipton's (yes, Lipton's is average compared to this), HC Peach Iced tea is made from glowing peaches juiced by the hands of angels and tea brewed by God himself.

If this hasn't persuaded you to go to Geneva, Switzerland (or wherever else Holy Cow is), please bear in mind that the establishment itself was clean, welcoming and warm. You might need some cash, and a pure heart. Godspeed xoxo
